The Collection, the tightly-nit North Carolina-based indie-pop sextet founded by frontman David Wimbish, have inspired listeners with their raucous, folk-based indie-pop sound, resulting in an unabashed positivity and participatory spirit of shared celebration, creating an almost congregational connection with their audience. Their 2023 release, Little Deaths, saw the band expand their sonic pallet pushing just up to the point of cacaphony while never losing the focus on Wimbish's unique voice and the vast emotional depth of his lyrics. In September 2023, the band hosted their own music festival, Soil & Sky, on 32 acres of land in rural North Carolina and now joins our festival as the Party Stage headliners. N.E.D. or “No Evidence of Disease,” are the words every cancer patient wants to hear. And this group of Gynecologic Ocologists, led by Dr. Gizelka David-West of Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco and Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow have been playing the jams everyone wants to hear for the past fifteen years. Taking healing and arts to a new level, N.E.D.'s mission is to raise awareness and education of women's cancers through the healing powers of music as well as promote music and healing projects. During that time, he has recorded seven full-length albums, most recently When We Wander, his first album recorded since becoming a parent. Widely Grown, based out of Jersey City, New Jersey, plays a dynamic mix of Americana and Country. Led by James Calleo, who hails from Ramsey in Bergen County, this upbeat 5-piece outfit weaves together their sets from the fibers of delicate folk to energetic, high-octane, country-bluegrass-rock n' roll. In writing the songs, Calleo pulls from his past experiences, whether it be driving cross country, hitch-hiking the California coast; backpacking and sleeping out under the stars; spending 5 months in India, or just missing family and friends while out on the road. Each member of the band brings their own unique background and influence into the music. An award-winning slide guitar player and songwriter, Robert Hill was inducted into into the New York Blues Hall of Fame in 2014. His latest release, Revelation, made the 2023 Grammy ballot for Best Traditional Blues Album. Joining him is vocalist Rae Simone, a native of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, currently residing in Chester, NY. Rae is a young rising star, who brings a background rooted in Blues, Motown, Jazz, R&B and Soul, with Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles as major influences. You may have caught them at venues like The Towne Crier, The Falcon, Chester’s Meadow Blues Coffee, The Studio Around The Corner in Brewster, or the Salem Roadhouse Cafe. Through big hooks and brazen lyrics Dead Tooth's sound has a welcome discordance. This self proclaimed “rodeo-core” quintet from Queens weaves high energy hooks, brazen lyrics, and gritty sax leads into a refreshing live show that’s earned them comparisons to acts like Refused, At the Drive In and The Jesus Lizard all over the Eastern US. Since the release of their sophomore EP Pig Pile in 2022, the band has put out two original singles earning praise by NME and SPIN magazine as well as a scintillating trash punk cover of Demi Lovato’s "Cool for the Summer." Mojo and The Mayhem is an 8-piece, groovy rock band based out of NYC, with members hailing from both White Plains and Rye. They provide their own brand of music, letting it loose with hard-hitting horns, powerhouse vocals, and infectious grooves. They've been together for about five years, playing out all over the metropolitan area. Recently, their single “Just Can’t Get Enough” was featured on WFUV’s Local Slice show. 2024 has been a big year for the band, as the band got to perform at Brooklyn Bowl and we are excited to see them continue their musical adventure on the Party Stage. With their effortless harmonies, it is no surprise that Nick and Brianna of Plane Station have been performing together since high school. The Peekskill-bred siblings fronted bands in a wide variety of genres before deciding to focus on the intimate acoustic sound of Plane Station. On their most recent album, 2023's “Art of Content,” they have expanded their sound with a full band but remain anchored around the core of their voices combined with Nick's finger picked guitar lines and Brianna's piano work. With a sound and a vibe that seems derived from a forgotten 90s movie, Talon engages their audiences with a fun and invigorating live show. They take their cues from 90’s stalwarts like Weezer and Sheryl Crow, guitar heroes such as Sleater-Kinney and St. Vincent, plus pop legends MUNA and Maggie Rogers. Born in a post-pandemic world and currently a contributor to Brooklyn’s Queer Music scene, these indy rockers feature musicians from all over the country, including drummer Lauren Kleinman from nearby Armonk. Their recently released debut EP “Not Dreams” features the infectious single, “Blondie”. The record displays warm waves of crunching guitars, punching drums, grooving bass, and sweet melodies of yearning, which you’ll get to witness first hand on the Party Stage. A native of Bedford, Kenny Green, began his musical journey with a childhood steeped in the sounds of Led Zeppelin and the Beatles, evolving to encompass a diverse array of rock, folk, and traditional Jewish music. rom his early days as a camp counselor, where he honed his craft, to his studies in jazz guitar at Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music, Kenny has made a name for himself as one of the most in-demand children’s and family music performers in the New York area. With his mastery of instruments including the guitar, banjo, dulcimer, mandolin, and cittern, Kenny's performances are a captivating blend of song-leading and interactive storytelling.
